Association Assistance For Private Treaty Sales
• Registered Cattle (5% of
Gross)
Fee payable by seller at the
time of sale.
Fee includes clerical work for transfer of registration certificates.
• Commercial Cattle (4% of Gross)
and/or Steers ($4/hd w/ $50 min.)

Association Managed Dispersion, Production, and/or Consignment
Sales
• In-States Sales (Full
Service - 5% of Gross)
Fee includes: Engaging
auctioneer, announcing sale date in association publications, selection
of sale cattle, catalog preparation and design, mailing catalog (postage
excluded), advertising preparation & design, placing advertising (actual
ad costs excluded), consultation in setting up sale facilities & sale
order, general promotion, working in sale box on sale day, use of PA
system, clerking the sale (handling receipts & disbursements, & clerical
work for the transfer of registration certificates.), and order buying
and phone/mail bid management.
• In-State Sales (Reduced Service - 3%
of Gross)
Fee includes: Engaging
auctioneer, announcing sale date in association publications,
consultation in setting up sale facilities & sale order, general
promotion, working in sale box on sale day, use of PA system, and order
buying and phone/mail bid management plus two of the following:
•Selection of Sale Cattle
•Clerical work for transfer of registration papers
•Two clerks- Sale Day •Catalog
Preparation and Design
•Creation and placement of advertizing
(excludes actual ad costs)
•Clerical work for mailing of catalogs
(includes VAA mailing list)
• Out-of-State Sales

plus $250/day and travel expenses.
Assistance-Only Sales
• In-State Assisted Sales
1% of 1st $100,000 gross
proceeds, .5% on 2nd $100,000, .25% thereafter (Minimum Fee - $400).
Service includes: Announcing the sale date in association publications,
general promotion, use of PA system, and order buying and phone/mail bid
management and solicitation, plus two of the following:
•Selection of Sale Cattle
•One clerks- Sale Day
•Ad Placement (excludes actual ad
costs) •VAA Mailing Labels (1 set)
•Sale day- ring work, teleconference
management or sale box
•Ad design and consultation for placement
•Clerical work for mailing of catalogs
(includes VAA mailing list)
• Out-of-State Assisted Sales
Same fee and services as
In-State assisted sales plus $250/day and travel expenses.
Catalog Design and Layout
• $40.00/page for VAA Members
• $55.00/page for Non-Members

Other Services
• Custom Sale Clerking
$500.00 plus mileage.
Includes at least two clerks with a computer based clerking system.
• Custom Sale Clerking and Settlement
1.5% of sale gross. Services
include: Two clerks with computer based clerking system, transferring
of registration papers, and collection and distribution of all money
(proceeds are paid at 30 and 60 days).
• Contract Mailing
Use of association
membership/mailing list 10¢ per name with a minimum order of $100. This
service for use by members of the Virginia Angus Association and only in
connection with Angus enterprises and subject to Board approval, postage
excluded.

All registration and transfer fees are seller's expense. The Virginia
Angus Association arranges, sponsors, and manages sales as a service to
its members and not as their agent.
