The Virginia Angus Association, organized in 1933, has as its objective the promotion of the merits of the Angus breed of cattle as well as the education of breeders in the qualities and care of such animals. These objectives are accomplished through Association schools and forums, meetings, publications, shows and sales. The Association performs such other acts incidental and supplementary thereto as will, in the judgment of the Association, best promote the interest of the Angus breed of cattle in Virginia.

VIRGINIA ANGUS 2011 COMMUNITY PROJECT
For the past three years, Virginia Angus has adopted a local family to help during the Holiday Season.  This year we adopted a family of a single mother with three children, two girls, ages 4 and 12 and a 10 year old boy.  The Virginia Angus board of directors, some members of our community and myself donated an entire box of food, an entire Holiday Meal with a turkey, presents for the children and the mother and a stocking full of goodies for each one of the three children.  Thank you to everyone who helped make this years project another success.
